Wolfe Estates is a newer development located just past Donner Lake heading west up old Highway 40. Wolfe Estates is a private, gated community made up of around 46 parcels. Many home sites have incredible views of Donner Lake.
There is a HOA fee for properties at Wolfe Estates and homeowners get to enjoy the amenities at the west end of Donner Lake.
Donner Lake is a gorgeous lake community located just west of Truckee. Some homeowners prefer Donner Lake because of its close proximity to the interstate as well as the lower prices compared to Lake Tahoe. There is also a private beach for Donner Lake homeowners that has the following amenities: basketball courts, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, private small boat storage, ping pong, BBQ pits, and sandy beach.
