Today might be the first day of Spring, but Lake Tahoe has had quite a bit of snow in the past week! Lake Tahoe does not get any more beautiful than this. An early morning ski after a fresh blanket of snow. These pictures were taken yesterday morning at the Lake Tahoe Nordic Center. We know Spring is on the way but many of us here are still enjoying the late snow of the season!

Avalanche at Squaw Valley

There have been quite a few avalanches in the Lake Tahoe area this winter season. KT22 at Squaw Valley USA experienced one last week. The rain from last week caused the adhesion of the snow to break up a bit and an avalanche was the result.
